Glenn W. Nichols, MD, PC
Dr. Nichols earned his undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pa. There he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society and the Beta Beta Beta honorary Biology fraternity. He then attended the George Washington University Medical School in Washington, DC. He next completed a general surgery internship at the Pennsylvania State University Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pa. Dr. Nichols completed his orthopedic residency training at the same institution. While training at Penn State Dr. Nichols published articles on "The Accessory Soleus Muscle", and "Ultrasonography in the Neonatal Hip."In 1984, Dr. Nichols completed his training and moved to Virginia Beach, Va. In 1985 he was awarded a fellowship grant by the Association for the Study of Internal Fixation in Basel, Switzerland. Dr. Nichols spent one month in Basel studying knee surgery with Dr. Werner Meuller. In 1986 Dr. Nichols moved his practice to Chesapeake, Va. where he has been in private practice since. Dr. Nichols became board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons in 1986 and recertified in 1996 and 2006. Outside of medicine, Dr. Nichols enjoys water sports, weight training, target shooting, and classic car restoration. |
